Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has pointed out that Erik ten Hag will face the toughest day of his life at Manchester United.
The Dutch boss brought his team down to buy for the first time on Monday. With fans hoping to return to the top of the line against Manchester City and Liverpool.
Despite his outstanding success at Ajax, Merson sees Ten Hag facing the toughest job of his life at Old Trafford.
“If Ten Hag has been doing this job all his life. It won’t be any more difficult than what he’s doing right now,” Emerson told Sky Sports News.
“It was a big event with the biggest club in the world and he took the job at the height of the chaos.”
“He wants to bring in as many players as he can because this team won’t put you in the top four. They need some players – (Frenkie) De Jong from Barcelona, he’s a good footballer. and then move on from that point They need at least three or four to make a change for the top four.”
Who will be on the move this summer when the transfer window opens on June 10 and closes at 11pm on September 1?
